Dr Magnus Lynch is a Consultant Dermatologist and fellowship-trained Dermatological and Mohs surgeon.

He is a consultant at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London where he works within the specialist melanoma clinic and performs Mohs surgery.

Dr Lynch is experienced in all aspects of adult general dermatology such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss and mole checks. He has a particular interest in skin cancer and skin surgery including the treatment of benign lesions such as cysts, skin tags, benign moles and keloid scars.

Dr Lynch was a scholar at Christ’s College, Cambridge and qualified in medicine in 2003. He passed membership examinations for both the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Surgeons and completed specialist training in Dermatology at St John’s Institute of Dermatology where he additionally undertook a highly competitive fellowship in Mohs surgery and advanced Dermatological surgery.

During his training he completed a PhD at the Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Oxford and subsequently was awarded a prestigious Academic Clinical Lectureship at St John’s Institute of Dermatology where he performed postdoctoral research in the Centre for Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine, King’s College London. This work has led to multiple high impact publications and he was awarded the Hugh Wallace Prize by the Dermatology section of the Royal Society of Medicine. He continues to be actively involved in skin research and is a Senior Lecturer at King’s College London where he leads a research team.
